In a clever move to highlight the issue of California’s recent gay marriage repeal, the group RescueMarriage.org is attempting to outlaw divorce in that state.  Arguing that divorce is much more harmful to traditional marriage, John Marcotti, the group’s founder is collecting signatures to get the “California Protection of Marriage Act” on the ballot. If passed this initiative would make divorce illegal in California.
