Shelley L. Sanderman, Esq. - Bio
Ms. Sanderman joined Johnson Sauer Legal Group, LLC as an associate attorney in September 2009. Prior to working at Johnson Sauer, she volunteered with Metro Volunteer Lawyers Family Court Division, assisting low-income families with Dissolution and Parental Rights and Responsibility issues. She particularly enjoyed providing legal assistance to parties who had limited resources but required legal assistance during a difficult time in their lives.
Ms. Sanderman was born in Canada but grew up in Denver, Colorado. She attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she primarily studied Environmental and Land Use law. She was also Vice President of the American Bar Association Law School Division for the University of Denver. Shelley was fortunate to study abroad in China where she enjoyed participating in International Dispute Resolution and studying Chinese business relations.
Ms. Sanderman graduated cum laude from Colorado State University, earning her bachelor of Liberal Arts degree at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, with a major in Technical Journalism with an emphasis on print journalism, and a minor in Political Science. She reported for the Rocky Mountain Collegian, and later worked for the Greeley Tribune as both a reporter and a copy editor.
Ms. Sanderman is a member of the Colorado Women's Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She enjoys doing pro bono representation at Metro Volunteer Lawyers Family Court Division and volunteering with the Delores Project, a shelter for women.
