Brandi M. Petterson, Esq. - Bio
Ms. Petterson joined the Johnson Sauer Legal Group, LLC as an associate attorney in November 2009. Ms. Petterson possesses invaluable insight, which she gained during her time as a law clerk for the Honorable J. Mark Hannen of the 18th Judicial District. Ms. Petterson possesses first-hand knowledge concerning how a Judge approaches and resolves contested issues that involve the division of marital assets and debt, spousal maintenance, and the allocation of parenting time and decision-making responsibilities. Ms. Petterson keeps a Judge's perspective in mind while helping her clients navigate through these complex issues.
A domestic relations client may be experiencing the most emotionally charged situation of that person's life. Ms. Petterson provides compassionate yet zealous representation for her clients. She believes that the ability to vicariously experience the emotional state of a client allows her to better identify with, communicate with, and therefore more effectively represent him or her.
Born and raised in Palm Coast, Florida, Ms. Petterson attended the University of Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with the highest distinction of summa cum laude. Ms. Petterson earned her Juris Doctorate and L.L.M. in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
