Biography

Mr. Bucar began his legal career as an attorney in New York, and, after coming to Denver, he joined the Johnson Sauer Legal Group, LLC as a law clerk in October 2010. After passing the Colorado Bar Exam, Mr. Bucar is now excited to continue assisting our clients as an associate attorney and to continue his legal career in Colorado.

Through the experiences of growing up in a single parent home, as a New York attorney, and now practicing law in Colorado, Mr. Bucar understands that divorces and disputes concerning children represent the most difficult time in his clients’ lives. He firmly believes that, while different approaches and strategies are required for each case, compassion, commitment and attention to his clients’ concerns are always of the utmost importance. Mr. Bucar approaches each case with the attention to detail, meticulous preparation, and aggressive representation that he would expect of an attorney representing one of his own family members.

While practicing law in New York, Mr. Bucar focused most of his attention assisting clients through child support, custody, and contested divorce cases. He also has experience handling trusts and estates, commercial litigation, and high-profile contract matters.

Mr. Bucar earned his Juris Doctorate at Touro Law, located in Long Island, New York. He graduated cum laude and received CALI Awards for the highest achievement in Trial Practice, Complex Litigation, Trusts and Estates, and Constitutional Law. While in law school and after Hurricane Katrina, Mr. Bucar had the opportunity to intern at the New Orleans Public Defenders Office, which solidified his desire to help clients through the most emotional and difficult events of their lives. Prior to law school, Mr. Bucar attended the State University of New York at Cortland, where he graduated magna cum laude and received the New York State Sociological Association’s Outstanding Undergraduate Paper Award and the SUNY Cortland Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement.

Mr. Bucar is proud to now be a part of the Colorado community, and he looks forward to assisting all of his clients navigate through the complex legal system, as efficiently as possible.
