Biography

Mr. Sauer joined Johnson Legal Group, LLC as an associate in January of 2005. Since then, he has worked on many family law matters, helping clients to successfully restructure their families and serving to advocate for the client’s best interests in a complex legal system throughout a difficult and emotional divorce, legal separation, or child custody issue. Few things in life are more rewarding than assisting a client with his or her family-related concerns and legal matters.

Mr. Sauer was born in Fort Collins and raised in Loveland, Colorado. He attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming, earning a Bachelor of Science degree with Honor. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado in Boulder. In law school, he was one of 12 finalists in the law school’s Rothgerber moot court competition.

Mr. Sauer served on various university committees as well as on the student governments at both institutions. In these roles, he interacted with fellow students and sought to protect their interests when such interests conflicted with the plans of the university’s administration.

Moreover, Mr. Sauer has dedicated his time to various charitable causes, including providing a safe trick-or-treating environment for children of low-income families on Halloween, coordinating blood drives, and participating in Colorado AIDS Walk fundraising. Through these and other activities, Mr. Sauer strives to better the community and work toward improving the lives of hard-working and disadvantaged members of our society.
